What Your Tyndale Dental Plan Covers

Your Tyndale myStudentPlan covers up to a total of $500 each benefit year. Once you reach this limit, additional treatment costs become your responsibility unless you have other insurance coverage.

According to the current plan, coverage includes the following services per policy year:

One recall examination

Radiographs, such as dental X-rays

One fluoride treatment

One unit of polishing

Up to 4 units of scaling

2 wisdom tooth extractions

Amalgam, silicate, or tooth-coloured fillings: Fillings on the same tooth surface are covered once every 2 years/ If a tooth needs a very large restoration, your insurance may not cover the full cost.

Root Canals and Major Work Covered at 10%

For root canal or certain major dental procedures, your student plan provides 10% coverage. Therefore, you will still have an out-of-pocket balance. Do not worry about the uncovered part; you can benefit from our payment options to manage the costs.

Your $500 Annual Maximum and Predetermination

As mentioned before, your student dental plan has a yearly coverage limit of $500. If you need more extensive dental treatment, we can send a pre-treatment estimate (predetermination) to ClaimSecure before your appointment.

Payment Options for Major Dental Work

Your student plan covers only a small portion of some treatments, like root canals. This leaves you with a remaining balance. But we won’t let financial barriers stop you from getting the dental care you need. We offer practical payment options to help you split the costs over months.

Appointments That Fit Around Your Class Schedule

Our appointment times include different times of the day, such as morning and evening. Appointments are even available on Sundays. The clinic is closed on Saturdays, but we’re available for the rest of the week from 9 am to 7 pm.
